Marissa Webb F/W 2016 Runway Nails

Marissa Webb’s F/W 2016 collection centered around feminine menswear. All of the pieces are simple, yet structured and really could have been worn right off the runway. Think wide-leg trousers, faux fur, and funnel neck jackets. Miss Pop Nails worked with Zoya and has dubbed this nail look “Out of the Box.” The black Zoya polish frames the nail and leaves a strip of negative space in the middle.

Claudia Li F/W 2016 Runway Nails

Denim, vegan leather, boyfriend-like chunky knits, cascading ruffles–just some of the pieces in Claudia Li‘s F/W 2016 collection. Recreate the look using the steps below. 1. Apply one coat of RCM Natural Talent  and let dry completely. 2. Using a piece of a damp makeup sponge, lightly press on RCM Plum Up The Volume to create a marbled effect. Using the same technique, dab on RCM White Hot to soften the look.

Lulu Frost F/W 2016 Runway Nails

For the Fall/Winter 2016 collection Lulu Frost designer, Lisa Salzer was inspired by outer-space and the “expansive power of human thought.”  Gina Edwards for KISS Products, Inc., recreated the night sky with a matte black base using imPRESS Gel Manicure in Text Appeal. The nails were then embellished with an assortment of crystals and pearls to mimic stars and galactic formations.

Berenik S/S 2016 Runway Nails

Designer Veronika Brusa used friend and artist, Steve Voll as a foundation for creating the Berenik S/S 2016 collection. Voll’s eccentric color combination of images and spray painted structures inspired Brusa to create pieces emulating his art work. Mesh, stonewashed denim, and cutouts are just a few of the sporty, yet elegant designs that walked the runway. For the feet, leather top sandals in various leathers and colors.

Jonathan Simkhai S/S 2016 Runway Nails

Feminine cutouts, fringe trim, and mermaid hems were all over the runway at Jonathan Simkhai. For the manicures, Lead manicurist for Morgan Taylor, Gina Edwards, was inspired by the juxtaposition of the city and softness of the country. In turn, she created five tri-colored French manicure looks. A diluted Prim-rose and Proper (part of Morgan Taylor Spring 2016 line) was used for the base coat.

Monique Lhuillier S/S 2016 Runway Nails

Monique Lhuillier, known for her exquisite bridal gowns, sent feminine silhouettes and bold colors down the runway for her S/S 2016 collection. Lead manicurist for Morgan Taylor, Gina Edwards put a fun twist on a classic French manicure using a base of Simply Irresistible, a sheer pink, followed by a thin, Kelly green tip using Later Alligator.
